حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " سَتَخْرُجُ نَارٌ مِنْ حَضْرَمَوْتَ أَوْ مِنْ نَحْوِ حَضْرَمَوْتَ قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ تَحْشُرُ النَّاسَ " . قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ " عَلَيْكُمْ بِالشَّامِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ وَأَنَسٍ وَأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ .

Aḥmad ibn Manī‘ narrated to us; Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad al-Baghdādī narrated to us; Shaybān narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Abī Kathīr, from Abū Qilābah, from Sālim ibn ‘Abd Allāh ibn ‘Umar, from his father, who said that the Messenger of Allah said: “A fire will emerge from Hadramawt—or from the area around Hadramawt—before the Day of Resurrection and gather the people.” They said, “Messenger of Allah, what do you command us?” He said, “Remain in al-Shām.”
Abū ‘Īsā said: Reports on this topic are also related from Ḥudhayfah ibn Asīd, Anas, Abū Hurayrah, and Abū Dharr. This is a ḥasan gharīb ṣaḥīḥ hadith from Ibn ‘Umar.
