‘Ali ibn Hujr narrated to us: Isma‘il ibn Ja‘far narrated to us, from Humayd, from Anas, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, ‘When Allah intends good for a servant, He puts him to use.’ It was asked, ‘How does He put him to use, Messenger of Allah?’ He replied, ‘He grants him success to perform a righteous deed before death.’ Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.
