حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مَنْ تَحَلَّمَ كَاذِبًا كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَ شَعِيرَتَيْنِ وَلَنْ يَعْقِدَ بَيْنَهُمَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Muḥammad ibn Bashshār narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Wahhāb narrated to us: Ayyūb narrated to us, from ʿIkrimah, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: 'Whoever falsely claims to have had a dream will be tasked on the Day of Resurrection with tying two barley grains together—and he will never be able to tie them together.' Abū ʿĪsā said: 'This hadith is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ.'
