حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم نَحْوَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ . قَالَ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ .

ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd narrated to us: Yaʿqūb ibn Ibrāhīm ibn Saʿd narrated to us, from his father, from Ṣāliḥ ibn Kaysān, from al-Zuhrī, from Abū Umāmah ibn Sahl ibn Ḥunayf, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), a report with the same meaning. He said: 'This version is more sound.'
