حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، قال حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ إِنَّ ابْنِي مَاتَ فَمَا لِي فِي مِيرَاثِهِ قَالَ " لَكَ السُّدُسُ " . فَلَمَّا وَلَّى دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ " لَكَ سُدُسٌ آخَرُ " . فَلَمَّا وَلَّى دَعَاهُ قَالَ " إِنَّ السُّدُسَ الآخَرَ طُعْمَةٌ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ مَعْقِلِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ .

Al-Hasan ibn ‘Arafah narrated to us; Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from Hammam ibn Yahya, from Qatadah, from al-Hasan, from ‘Imran ibn Husayn, who said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, ‘My son has died; what do I inherit from him?’ He replied, ‘You receive one-sixth.’ As the man turned to leave, he called him and said, ‘You receive another one-sixth.’ As he turned to leave, he called him again and said, ‘The other one-sixth is an additional provision for you.’ Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith. There is also a report on this topic from Ma‘qil ibn Yasar.
