Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic presents two chains, the first ending at ‘Abd al-Malik ibn ‘Umayr before introducing the second route through ‘Amr ibn Hurayth and Sa‘id ibn Zayd. Both are retained as presented.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ،
The Arabic begins with one route and then adds a second route to the wording; the English witness supplies only the second route.
Should both chains be shown separately? They are preserved in the translation.
