Mu‘adh ibn Jabal reported that the Prophet recited, ‘Can your Lord…?’ (Qur’an 5:112). Abu ‘Isa said this is a gharib hadith, known only through the report of Rashdin, and its chain is not strong. Rashdin ibn Sa‘d and al-Ifriqi are both considered weak in hadith.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The phrase is a reported recitation variant of Qur’an 5:112, whose standard wording is ‘Can your Lord…’ (hal yastati‘u rabbuka). The chain criticism is explicit: Rashdin ibn Sa‘d and ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Ziyad al-Ifriqi are both weak.
