Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَنْبَأَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ مُنَبِّهٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " يُسَلِّمُ الصَّغِيرُ عَلَى الْكَبِيرِ وَالْمَارُّ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ " . قَالَ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Hammam ibn Munabbih reported from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said: ‘The young greet the elderly, the passerby greets the one sitting, and the smaller group greets the larger group.’
Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith.
