Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدَبٍ، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " صَلاَةُ الْوُسْطَى صَلاَةُ الْعَصْرِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Samurah ibn Jundab reported that the Prophet of Allah said: ‘The middle prayer is the afternoon prayer.’ Abu ‘Isa graded this hadith hasan sahih.
