حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُحْرَسُ حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةُ : ( وَاللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ النَّاسِ ) فَأَخْرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْقُبَّةِ فَقَالَ لَهُمْ " يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ انْصَرِفُوا فَقَدْ عَصَمَنِي اللَّهُ " . حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ، هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُحْرَسُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ .

‘A’ishah reported: ‘The Prophet was being guarded until this verse was revealed: “Allah will protect you from the people” (Qur’an 5:67). The Messenger of Allah then put his head out from the tent and said to them, “People, go away. Allah has protected me.”’ A second chain reports similar wording. Abu ‘Isa graded this hadith gharib. Some narrators transmitted it from al-Jurayri, from ‘Abd Allah ibn Shaqiq, saying only that the Prophet was guarded, without mentioning ‘A’ishah.

The report connects the end of the Prophet’s guarding with the revelation of Qur’an 5:67; alternate transmission omits the Companion in the chain.
