‘Abd Allah ibn ‘Amr reported: ‘The last surah revealed was Surat al-Ma’idah.’ Abu ‘Isa graded this hadith hasan gharib. It is also reported from Ibn ‘Abbas that he said the last surah revealed was “When Allah’s help and victory come” (Surat al-Nasr, Qur’an 110).
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The English witness includes “and al-Fath,” but the Arabic text for this report says only Surat al-Ma’idah; it separately cites Ibn ‘Abbas’s view that Surat al-Nasr was the last surah revealed.
