Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet said: ‘There are three signs which, once they appear, will not benefit a soul that had not believed before: the Dajjal, the Beast, and the sun rising from its place of setting’—or, ‘from the west.’’ Abu ‘Isa graded this hadith hasan sahih. He identified Abu Hazim as al-Ashja‘i al-Kufi, Salman, the freedman of ‘Azzah al-Ashja‘iyyah.
