Ali reported that the Messenger of Allah said, ‘In Paradise there is a market where nothing is bought or sold except forms of men and women. When a man desires a form, he enters it.’ Abu Isa described this hadith as gharīb.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The expression ṣuwar al-rijāl wa-al-nisāʾ (forms/appearances of men and women) and the phrase ‘he enters it’ are terse in the source. The translation preserves this wording without inferring whether it refers to choosing or becoming a particular appearance.
