Suhaib narrated concerning His (Allah's) statement

For those who do good is the best (reward) and even more- the Prophet (s.a.w) said:"When the people of Paradise enter Paradise, a caller shall call out: 'Indeed you have a promise with Allah.' They will say: 'Did he not whiten our faces, save us from the Fire, and admit us into Paradise?' They will say: 'Indeed.' Then the Veil shall be lifted." He said: "So, by Allah, He did not grant them anything more beloved to them than looking at Him."

Hadith Commentary: The Ultimate Reward of Paradise

This profound narration from Jami' at-Tirmidhi (Hadith 2552) describes the ultimate fulfillment of Allah's promise to the righteous believers. The initial blessings of Paradise - whitened faces, salvation from Hellfire, and admission to Gardens of Delight - are but preliminary gifts.

The classical scholars explain that "the best reward" refers to Paradise itself, while "even more" (ziyadah) signifies the divine vision of Allah - the ultimate honor beyond all worldly comprehension. When the veil is lifted, the believers receive what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and what has never occurred to any human heart.

Imam al-Tirmidhi himself classified this hadith as hasan sahih, indicating its sound authenticity. The scholars of tafsir relate this to Quranic verses describing "faces that day will be radiant, looking at their Lord" (75:22-23). This vision constitutes the peak of spiritual fulfillment, surpassing even the eternal pleasures of Paradise.

The Prophet's emphatic oath "by Allah" underscores the certainty and magnitude of this reward. This divine vision represents the culmination of spiritual journey - where the created beholds the Creator in a manner befitting His majesty, completing the believer's ultimate felicity.
