Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah said, ‘Whoever recites Ha Mim al-Dukhan on Friday night will be forgiven.’

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • Abu ‘Isa graded this hadith gharib, known only through this route. Hisham Abu al-Miqdam is considered weak. The chain also has a gap: al-Hasan did not hear from Abu Hurayrah, according to Ayyub, Yunus ibn ‘Ubayd, and ‘Ali ibn Zayd. ‘Friday night’ translates laylat al-jumu‘ah, the night associated with Friday.
