Ahmad ibn Mani‘ narrated to us: ‘Abbad ibn al-‘Awwam narrated to us: al-Hajjaj—meaning Ibn Arta’ah—reported to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: The Messenger of Allah’s ﷺ shins were slender. He would laugh only with a smile. When I looked at him, I would say, ‘His eyes are lined with kohl,’ though they were not lined with kohl. Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith through this route.
