Al-Hasan ibn al-Sabbah al-Bazzar narrated to us: Muhammad ibn Kathir al-‘Abdi narrated to us, from al-Awza‘i, from Qatadah, from Anas, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said of Abu Bakr and ‘Umar: ‘These two are the leaders of the mature elders among the inhabitants of Paradise, among the earlier and later generations, except the Prophets and Messengers.’ Abu ‘Isa said: This is a hasan gharib hadith through this route.
