حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَلَسْتُ أَحَقَّ النَّاسِ بِهَا أَلَسْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ أَلَسْتُ صَاحِبَ كَذَا أَلَسْتُ صَاحِبَ كَذَا . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ . قَدْ رَوَاهُ بَعْضُهُمْ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ . حَدَّثَنَا بِذَلِكَ، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ بِمَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ .
Abu Sa‘id al-Ashajj narrated to us: ‘Uqbah ibn Khalid narrated to us: Shu‘bah narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu Nadr, from Abu Sa‘id, who said: Abu Bakr said, ‘Am I not the most entitled of people to it? Was I not the first to accept Islam? Am I not the companion of such-and-such? Am I not the companion of such-and-such?’ Abu ‘Isa said: This is a gharib hadith. Some narrators reported it from Shu‘bah, from al-Jurayri, from Abu Nadr, that Abu Bakr said so; this is more accurate. Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated this to us: ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Shu‘bah, from al-Jurayri, from Abu Nadr, that Abu Bakr said something similar in meaning, without mentioning Abu Sa‘id. This is more accurate.
