Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ، سَمِعْتُ الأَعْمَشَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْبَخْتَرِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لِعُمَرَ فِي الْعَبَّاسِ " إِنَّ عَمَّ الرَّجُلِ صِنْوُ أَبِيهِ " . وَكَانَ عُمَرُ كَلَّمَهُ فِي صَدَقَتِهِ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Translation
Narrated 'Ali
that concerning Al-'Abbas, the Prophet (ﷺ) said to 'Umar: "Indeed, the uncle of a man is the Sinw of his father." And 'Umar had spoken to him concerning his charity.
