حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ لِجَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ " أَشْبَهْتَ خَلْقِي وَخُلُقِي " . وَفِي الْحَدِيثِ قِصَّةٌ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ وَكِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ نَحْوَهُ .
Muhammad ibn Isma‘il narrated to us: ‘Ubaydullah ibn Musa narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Bara’ ibn ‘Azib, that the Prophet ﷺ said to Ja‘far ibn Abi Talib, ‘You resemble me in appearance and character.’ The hadith includes a story. Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Sufyan ibn Waki‘ narrated to us: My father narrated to us, from Isra’il, with a similar report.
