Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3779
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ الْحَسَنُ أَشْبَهُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا بَيْنَ الصَّدْرِ إِلَى الرَّأْسِ وَالْحُسَيْنُ أَشْبَهُ بِالنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا كَانَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman narrated to us: ‘Ubaydullah ibn Musa informed us, from Isra’il, from Abu Ishaq, from Hani’ ibn Hani’, from ‘Ali, who said: Al-Hasan most resembled the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the part between the chest and the head, and al-Husayn most resembled the Prophet ﷺ in what was below that. This hadith is hasan gharib.
