The Virtues of Al-Hasan And Al-Husain, May Allah Be Pleased With Them Both Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3779
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَالْحَسَنُ أَشْبَهُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا بَيْنَ الصَّدْرِ إِلَى الرَّأْسِ وَالْحُسَيْنُ أَشْبَهُ بِالنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا كَانَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
Translation
Narrated 'Ali
said: "Al-Hasan is greater in resemblance to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with regards to what is between the chest and the head, and Al-Husain is greater in resemblance to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with regards to what is below that."
