حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلَتْنِي أُمِّي مَتَى عَهْدُكَ - تَعْنِي - بِالنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم . فَقُلْتُ مَا لِي بِهِ عَهْدٌ مُنْذُ كَذَا وَكَذَا . فَنَالَتْ مِنِّي فَقُلْتُ لَهَا دَعِينِي آتِي النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأُصَلِّيَ مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِبَ وَأَسْأَلُهُ أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرَ لِي وَلَكِ . فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِبَ فَصَلَّى حَتَّى صَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ انْفَتَلَ فَتَبِعْتُهُ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتِي فَقَالَ " مَنْ هَذَا حُذَيْفَةُ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ . قَالَ " مَا حَاجَتُكَ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ وَلأُمِّكَ " . قَالَ " إِنَّ هَذَا مَلَكٌ لَمْ يَنْزِلِ الأَرْضَ قَطُّ قَبْلَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ اسْتَأْذَنَ رَبَّهُ أَنْ يُسَلِّمَ عَلَىَّ وَيُبَشِّرَنِي بِأَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ سَيِّدَةُ نِسَاءِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ وَأَنَّ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ سَيِّدَا شَبَابِ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِسْرَائِيلَ .
‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abd al-Rahman and Ishaq ibn Mansur narrated to us: They said: Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us, from Isra’il, from Maysarah ibn Habib, from al-Minhal ibn ‘Amr, from Zirr ibn Hubaysh, from Hudhayfah, who said: My mother asked me, ‘When did you last see the Prophet ﷺ?’ I said, ‘It has been such-and-such a time since I last saw him.’ She reproached me, so I said to her, ‘Let me go to the Prophet ﷺ, pray Maghrib with him, and ask him to seek forgiveness for me and for you.’ I went to the Prophet ﷺ and prayed Maghrib with him. He continued praying until he had performed ‘Isha’, then he turned away. I followed him, and he heard my voice and asked, ‘Who is that? Hudhayfah?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘What do you need? May Allah forgive you and your mother.’ He then said, ‘This is an angel who has never descended to earth before this night. He asked his Lord’s permission to greet me and to give me the glad tidings that Fatimah is the leader of the women of the people of Paradise, and that al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the leaders of the youths of the people of Paradise.’ This hadith is hasan gharib through this route; we know it only from the narration of Isra’il.
