Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ مَرْزُوقٍ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبْصَرَ حَسَنًا وَحُسَيْنًا فَقَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُمَا فَأَحِبَّهُمَا " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Translation
Mahmud ibn Ghaylan narrated to us: Abu Usamah narrated to us, from Fudayl ibn Marzuq, from ‘Adi ibn Thabit, from al-Bara’, that the Prophet ﷺ saw al-Hasan and al-Husayn and said, ‘O Allah, I love them, so love them.’ Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih.
