حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " غَيِّرُوا الشَّيْبَ وَلاَ تَشَبَّهُوا بِالْيَهُودِ " . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَجَابِرٍ وَأَبِي ذَرٍّ وَأَنَسٍ وَأَبِي رِمْثَةَ وَالْجَهْدَمَةِ وَأَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ وَجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ وَأَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Qutaybah narrated to us: Abu Awanah narrated to us, from Umar ibn Abi Salamah, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: ‘Change the gray hair, and do not resemble the Jews.’
There are also reports on this subject from al-Zubayr, Ibn Abbas, Jabir, Abu Dharr, Anas, Abu Rimthah, al-Jahdamah, Abu al-Tufayl, Jabir ibn Samurah, Abu Juhaifah, and Ibn Umar. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Abu Hurayrah is hasan sahih, and it has been narrated through more than one route from Abu Hurayrah, from the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace).
