حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ أَحَبَّ الثِّيَابِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَلْبَسُهَا الْحِبَرَةُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ .

Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us: Mu‘adh ibn Hisham narrated to us: my father narrated to me, from Qatadah, from Anas, who said: The garment the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) most loved to wear was the hibarah (a patterned garment). Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih gharīb (good, authentic, and rare).
