Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us: ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us: Ibrahim ibn Nafi‘ al-Makki narrated to us, from Ibn Abi Najih, from Mujahid, from Umm Hani’, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Mecca with four braids in his hair. Abu ‘Isa said: This hadith is hasan gharīb (good, though rare). ‘Abd Allah ibn Abi Najih was a Meccan; Abu Najih’s name was Yasar. Abu ‘Isa also said: This hadith is gharīb, and ‘Abd Allah ibn Abi Najih was a Meccan.

The Arabic source repeats a shorter, incomplete version of the compiler's note at the end; it is translated as present.
قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ .
The Arabic first gives the grade hasan gharib, but the English witness says only gharib and omits hasan.
Should the witness's grade be aligned to include hasan?
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ،
The witness omits this report's named transmitters and gives only a brief matn and shortened biographical note.
Should the English witness be expanded to preserve the full chain and both source notes?
