Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Qutaybah narrated to us: Abu Awanah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Zurara ibn Awfa, from Abu Hurairah, who said: The Messenger of Allah said: Allah has pardoned my community for the thoughts that occur within themselves, so long as they do not speak of them or act upon them. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Scholars act on this: if a man only entertains the thought of divorce, nothing takes effect until he speaks it aloud.
