حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَرَنَ الْحَجَّ وَالْعُمْرَةَ فَطَافَ لَهُمَا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ . وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ قَالُوا الْقَارِنُ يَطُوفُ طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ وَأَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَاقَ . وَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَغَيْرِهِمْ يَطُوفُ طَوَافَيْنِ وَيَسْعَى سَعْيَيْنِ . وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الثَّوْرِيِّ وَأَهْلِ الْكُوفَةِ .

Ibn Abi Umar narrated to us: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-Hajjaj, from Abu al-Zubayr, from Jabir, that the Messenger of Allah combined Hajj and Umrah and performed one circumambulation for them both.
There is a report on this topic from Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Jabir is hasan. Some of the Prophet's Companions and others acted on this, saying that one performing Hajj and Umrah together performs one circumambulation. This is the view of al-Shafi'i, Ahmad, and Ishaq. Other scholars among the Prophet's Companions and others said that he performs two circumambulations and two sa'ys. This is the view of al-Thawri and the people of Kufa.
