Translation

Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Another chain from Rafi ibn Khadij, from the Prophet, carries similar wording but omits the link Abayah from his father; this version is more accurate. The people of knowledge act upon this report. Shubah also transmitted it from Said ibn Masruq with wording similar to the narration of Sufyan.

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • This is a variant chain for the report about dealing with an escaped camel; the compiler considers the shorter link more accurate.

The preferred chain proceeds from Abayah directly to his grandfather Rafi, without Abayahs father.

Does the translation clearly represent the compiler preferring the shorter chain?
