حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، وَمَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجَنَازَةِ ‏.‏

Qutaybah ibn Sa'id, Ahmad ibn Mani', Ishaq ibn Mansur, and Mahmud ibn Ghaylan narrated to us: They said: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father, who said: "I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Abu Bakr, and Umar walking ahead of the funeral procession."
