What Has Been Related About Walking In Front Of (The Deceased Being Carried For) The Funeral Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1008
Arabic hadith text
حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، وَبَكْرٍ الْكُوفِيِّ، وَزِيَادٍ، وَسُفْيَانَ، كُلُّهُمْ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَيَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجَنَازَةِ
Translation
Salim bin Abdullah narrated that his father said
"I saw the Prophet, Abu Bakr, and Umar walking in front of the funeral."
