حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ هَمَّامٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، وَبَكْرٍ الْكُوفِيِّ، وَزِيَادٍ، وَسُفْيَانَ، كُلُّهُمْ يَذْكُرُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنَ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ يَمْشُونَ أَمَامَ الْجَنَازَةِ .

Al-Hasan ibn Ali al-Khallal narrated to us: Amr ibn Asim narrated to us, from Hammam, from Mansur, Bakr al-Kufi, Ziyad, and Sufyan—all of whom mention that they heard it from al-Zuhri, from Salim ibn Abdullah, from his father, who said: "I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Abu Bakr, and Umar walking ahead of the funeral procession."
