حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ لَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم اخْتَلَفُوا فِي دَفْنِهِ فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَيْئًا مَا نَسِيتُهُ قَالَ " مَا قَبَضَ اللَّهُ نَبِيًّا إِلاَّ فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُدْفَنَ فِيهِ " . ادْفِنُوهُ فِي مَوْضِعِ فِرَاشِهِ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُلَيْكِيُّ يُضَعَّفُ مِنْ قِبَلِ حِفْظِهِ . وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ فَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَيْضًا .

Abu Kurayb narrated to us: Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr, from Ibn Abi Mulaykah, from Aishah, who said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, they disagreed about where to bury him. Abu Bakr said: "I heard something from the Messenger of Allah that I have not forgotten. He said: 'Allah never takes the soul of a prophet except at the place where He wishes him to be buried.' Bury him where his bed was." Abu Isa said: This is a gharīb hadith. Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakr al-Mulayki is considered weak in his retention. This hadith has also been narrated by another route: Ibn Abbas narrated it from Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
