Ali ibn Hujr narrated to us: Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak and al-Fadl ibn Musa informed us, from Husayn al-Mu'allim, from Abdullah ibn Buraydah, from Samurah ibn Jundab, that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the funeral prayer for a woman and stood at her middle. Abu Isa said: This is a hasan sahih hadith. Shu'bah also transmitted it from Husayn al-Mu'allim.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم صَلَّى عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ فَقَامَ وَسَطَهَا .
The Arabic gives a general position at the woman's middle without further anatomical detail.
Does 'at her middle' preserve the wording while avoiding an unsupported specification?
