The Ansari narrated to us: Ma'n narrated to us: Malik narrated to us. In another chain, Qutaybah narrated to us from Malik, from Sumayy, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'The martyrs are five: one who dies of plague, one with an abdominal illness, one who drowns, one who is crushed by a collapse, and one martyred in the path of Allah.' Reports on this topic are also related from Anas, Safwan ibn Umayyah, Jabir ibn Atik, Khalid ibn Urfutah, Sulayman ibn Surad, Abu Musa, and Aishah. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Abu Hurairah is hasan sahih.
