حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، وَأَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَمُوتُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَوْ لَيْلَةَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلاَّ وَقَاهُ اللَّهُ فِتْنَةَ الْقَبْرِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ وَلَيْسَ إِسْنَادُهُ بِمُتَّصِلٍ . رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ سَيْفٍ إِنَّمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَلاَ نَعْرِفُ لِرَبِيعَةَ بْنِ سَيْفٍ سَمَاعًا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو .

Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us: Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi and Abu Amir al-Aqadi narrated to us; they said: Hisham ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Sa'id ibn Abi Hilal, from Rabi'ah ibn Sayf, from Abdullah ibn Amr, who said: The Messenger of Allah said: No Muslim dies on Friday or on the night of Friday without Allah protecting him from the trial of the grave. Abu Isa said: This hadith is gharīb, and its chain is not connected. Rabi'ah ibn Sayf narrates only from Abu Abd al-Rahman al-Hubuli, from Abdullah ibn Amr, and we do not know of Rabi'ah ibn Sayf having heard directly from Abdullah ibn Amr.
