Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet said: "Yawning during prayer is from Satan, so when one of you yawns, let him restrain it as much as he can." Reports on this topic are also narrated from Abu Said al-Khudri and the grandfather of Adi ibn Thabit. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Abu Hurayrah is hasan sahih. Some scholars disliked yawning during prayer. Ibrahim said: I ward off yawning by clearing my throat.
