Bishr ibn Muʿādh al-Baṣrī narrated to us: Ibrāhīm ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbd al-Malik ibn Abī Maḥdhūrah narrated to us: He said: My father and my grandfather both informed me, from Abū Maḥdhūrah, that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) seated him and taught him the adhān, word by word. Ibrāhīm said: It was like our adhān. Bishr said: I asked him, “Repeat it to me.” He then described the adhān with tarjīʿ [repeating the testimony phrases]. Abū ʿĪsā said: The hadith of Abū Maḥdhūrah about the adhān is ṣaḥīḥ. It has also been narrated from him through other routes. This is the practice in Makkah and the view of al-Shāfiʿī.

قَالَ بِشْرٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَعِدْ عَلَىَّ .
The Arabic names the adhān form as tarjīʿ without explaining the sequence; a concise gloss identifies the repeated testimony phrases.
No decision requested; the technical term is retained with a brief explanation.
