Translation

Unreviewed translation. All hadiths in this collection are available in five languages. Titles and introductions may remain in Arabic.

Abbas al-Anbari narrated to us: Yahya ibn Kathir Abu Ghassan al-Anbari narrated to us, from Ismail al-Kahhal, from Abd Allah ibn Aws al-Khuza‘i, from Buraydah al-Aslami, from the Prophet, who said: ‘Give glad tidings to those who walk to the mosques in darkness: they will have a complete light on the Day of Resurrection.’

Abu Isa said: This hadith is gharib through this chain as a report raised to the Prophet. It is described as sound and connected, yet also as a report stopped at the Prophet’s Companions and not traced back to the Prophet.

Notes and open questions — unreviewed
  • The compiler's closing wording appears internally inconsistent about whether the report is marfu or mawquf; translated closely and flagged.

The source uses both language of raising the report to the Prophet and language saying it is mawquf at the Companions and not attributed to him.

Can the wording be checked against the intended edition or manuscript reading?
