Qutaybah narrated to us: Abu Awanah narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah was among the people who prayed most briefly while still completing the prayer properly. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Abu Awanah’s name was Waddah. Abu Isa said: I asked Qutaybah, ‘What was Abu Awanah’s name?’ He replied, ‘Waddah.’ I asked, ‘Whose son was he?’ He said, ‘I do not know. He was enslaved to a woman in Basra.’
