Abd Allah ibn Munir al-Marwazi narrated to us: He said: I heard Ali ibn al-Hasan say: Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak informed us, from Ibn Jurayj, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman, from Abu Hurayrah, that the Prophet used to say the takbir while descending. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. This was the view of the scholars among the Prophet’s Companions and the Successors after them: they said that a man should say the takbir while descending into bowing and prostration.
