حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَهَنَّادٌ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ كُنْتُ أُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَكَانَتْ صَلاَتُهُ قَصْدًا وَخُطْبَتُهُ قَصْدًا . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ وَابْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Qutaybah and Hannad told us, both saying: Abu al-Ahwas told us, from Simak ibn Harb, from Jabir ibn Samurah, who said: I used to pray with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his prayer and sermon were moderate in length. Reports on this subject are also related from Ammar ibn Yasir and Ibn Abi Awfa. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Jabir ibn Samurah is hasan sahih.
