حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ مَا كُنَّا نَتَغَدَّى فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَلاَ نَقِيلُ إِلاَّ بَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رضى الله عنه . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .

Ali ibn Hujr told us: Abd al-Aziz ibn Abi Hazim and Abdullah ibn Jafar told us, from Abu Hazim, from Sahl ibn Sad, may Allah be pleased with him, who said: In the time of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, we would not have lunch or take an afternoon rest until after Friday prayer. A report on this subject is also related from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Sahl ibn Sad is hasan sahih.
