‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud reported that the Messenger of Allah said: ‘I know the last of the people of the Fire to come out of it: a man who will crawl out and say, “My Lord, the people have taken all the places.” It will be said to him, “Go and enter Paradise.” He will go to enter it, but find that the people have taken all the places. He will return and say, “My Lord, the people have taken all the places.” It will be said to him, “Do you remember the time you were in?” He will say, “Yes.” It will be said to him, “Wish for something.” He will wish, and it will be said to him, “You will have what you wished for, and ten times the world.” He will say, “Are You mocking me, though You are the King?”’ Ibn Mas‘ud said: ‘I saw the Messenger of Allah laugh until his molars showed.’ Abu ‘Isa said: ‘This hadith is hasan sahih.’
