Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet said: ‘The disbeliever’s skin will be forty-two cubits thick, his molar tooth will be like Mount Uhud, and his place in Hell will be as vast as the distance between Makkah and Madinah.’ This hadith is hasan sahih gharīb through al-A‘mash.
Notes and open questions — unreviewed
The Arabic uses dhirā‘ (cubits/forearm lengths) for the skin’s thickness and describes the person’s place in Hell by comparison with the distance between Makkah and Madinah.
