Qutaybah told us: Hammad ibn Zayd told us, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, namely Abu al-Harith al-Basri, who is trustworthy, from Abu Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “Does the one who raises his head before the imam not fear that Allah may turn it into a donkey head?” Qutaybah said: Hammad told me that Muhammad ibn Ziyad said he said only, “Does he not fear?” Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Muhammad ibn Ziyad was a trustworthy man from Basra, known by the kunya Abu al-Harith.
