حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي غَالِبٌ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كُنَّا إِذَا صَلَّيْنَا خَلْفَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِالظَّهَائِرِ سَجَدْنَا عَلَى ثِيَابِنَا اتِّقَاءَ الْحَرِّ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . وَقَدْ رَوَى وَكِيعٌ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ .

Ahmad ibn Muhammad told us: Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak informed us: Khalid ibn Abd al-Rahman told us: Ghalib al-Qattan told me, from Bakr ibn Abdullah al-Muzani, from Anas ibn Malik, who said: When we prayed behind the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, during the hot midday periods, we would prostrate on our garments to protect ourselves from the heat. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih. Reports on this subject are also related from Jabir ibn Abdullah and Ibn Abbas. Waki also narrated this hadith from Khalid ibn Abd al-Rahman.
