حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، هُوَ مِنْ وَلَدِ الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِبِنَاءِ الْمَسَاجِدِ فِي الدُّورِ وَأَنْ تُنَظَّفَ وَتُطَيَّبَ .

Muhammad ibn Hatim al-Muaddib al-Baghdadi al-Basri told us: Amir ibn Salih al-Zubayri, a descendant of al-Zubayr, told us: Hisham ibn Urwah told us, from his father, from Aishah, who said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded that mosques be built in residential neighborhoods and that they be cleaned and perfumed.
