Abu Musa, Muhammad bin Al-Muthanna, narrated to us: Khalid bin Al-Harith narrated to us: Humayd narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, who said: The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by an elderly man who was struggling along between his two sons. He asked: “What is the matter with him?” They said: “Messenger of Allah, he vowed to walk.” He said: “Allah, Mighty and Sublime, has no need of this man punishing himself.” Then he ordered him to ride.
