Ahmad ibn Mani told us: Yazid ibn Harun told us: Yazid ibn Iyad informed us, from Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah. Muhammad ibn Ismail also told us: Ahmad ibn Khalid told us, from Muhammad ibn Ishaq, from Asim ibn Umar ibn Qatadah, from Mahmud ibn Labid, from Rafi ibn Khadij, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: ‘The person who administers charity justly is like a warrior in the path of Allah until he returns home.’ Abu Isa said: The hadith of Rafi ibn Khadij is hasan sahih. Yazid ibn Iyad is weak according to hadith scholars, and the report of Muhammad ibn Ishaq is sounder.
