حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا مُصَدِّقُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخَذَ الصَّدَقَةَ مِنْ أَغْنِيَائِنَا فَجَعَلَهَا فِي فُقَرَائِنَا وَكُنْتُ غُلاَمًا يَتِيمًا فَأَعْطَانِي مِنْهَا قَلُوصًا . قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ .

Ali ibn Said al-Kindi al-Kufi told us: Hafs ibn Ghiyath told us, from Ashath, from Awn ibn Abi Juhayfah, from his father, who said: The charity collector of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to us, collected charity from our wealthy people, and gave it to our poor people. I was then an orphan boy, and he gave me a young she-camel from it. A related report is narrated from Ibn Abbas. Abu Isa said: The hadith of Abu Juhayfah is hasan.
